Traveling around the World: Health Insurance and Vaccinations (because no one wants to get sick)

If you are anything like me, you probably think about this kind of necessity last. While saving up money is easy, finding health insurance coverage without a full-time job can be difficult. But, it doesn’t have to be.

WorldNomad, is a company that offers insurance to long-term travelers. It is easy to set up an account, and the prices are reasonable. For my 14 country excursion, I paid only $253.73 for coverage. It covers me the entirety of my journey, and encompasses injuries that occur, “100 miles away from your home.”

Additionally, the World Health Organization (WHO), has a list of vaccines needed for every country. Using this list, it’s easy to figure out which vaccines are needed for where.

  1. Thanks for that link! We were wondering about traveling with our baby in the future and what vaccinations she would need to go to different countries with us. Very helpful!
